Joy springs up deep from within the soul and spirit. Not with happiness, for that is fleeting and conditional, based on circumstances. It comes from a knowing that “all is well within my soul”.
Pure joy can only come from shalom. The definition of shalom is completeness, wholeness, peace, health, safety, tranquility, prosperity, fullness, rest and perfectness. Joy comes after living a way that most won’t. It takes courage, passion for all that’s good and strength beyond what you think you can endure. Then the inexplicable freedom comes to bring high adventure. Living without joy makes life incomplete, like never being fully alive or fully who you are.
If you never put yourself on the line, you will never reach your potential. Staying where it is comfortable is a drab and boring existence- where our own personal miracles cannot transpire. Chase after joy!
